Wow a 633 mhz celeron free after main in rebates and no internet contract, that sounds too good to be true. You know what they say about things when they sound too good to be true. Probably is too good ;) Then again maybe they're doing what cyberrebates is. Collecting a lot more money than an item is worth up front, and rebating it all later, but making sure they have a constant cash flow.

Anyone know anything about this "free" system after rebates? I might buy one just to have an extra machine to eb@y off!

Oops Sorry heres a little more detail.

D-LINK SYSTEMS MP105

BROKSONIC VHSA6687CTTCT
Description - You will not break the bank with this Broksonic 2-Head VCR! You can forget the added expense of buying head cleaning tapes for this VCR . . . its Auto Head Cleaning System does the work for you! It also has Digital Auto Tracking which cuts down on trying to get the tracking just right for a clear picture. It's very convenient! Full Auto Rewind/Stop/Eject/Power Off takes the worry out of making sure the video is rewound before it goes back to the rental store!

Don't know how that free PC deal works though, I think it probably has to do with signing up for internet service.

that is free when you sign up for 3 years of msn!

though you can pay $400.00 for all that and skip the MSN Rebate!

After looking closely, the system is "free" before you pay out the fees associated with a three year internet contract. They have what appears to be the same system for sale now for $99.99, and have the rebates broken down:
"$724.98 -$400 CompuServe® 2000 Premier Internet Mail-In Rebate* -$125 in eMachines Mail-In rebates -$50 HP Mail-In rebate -$50 Circuit CityMail-In rebate =$99.98. Offer excludes previous purchases. Sales tax not refunded. See rebate section for forms and details. Internet Fees: 36 mos. @ $21.95/mo."
Not such a good deal anymore...:Q

Do you have to sign up for internet? Is this at brick & mortar stores only or available on line?

Guyreino - No you don't have to sign up for an Internet Service Provider contract but if you do you'll receive a $400 instant discount. In the long run it's not worth it.

It appears some of these computer systems can be purchased online, just visit CircuitCity.com click Computers and Peripherals, Desktops, then select Display All.

You're much better off buying a quality computer which offers excellent tech support and reliability without having to pay $790.20 for a 3 year ISP contract ($21.95 per month x 3 years).

Right now you can purchase the following Dell Dimension L system with 15" monitor for only $551.20 (plus taxes/shipping) after MSN Passport 20% off:
Dimension® L600cx, Intel® Celeron? Processor at 600 MHz
10GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM)
64MB SDRAM
15" (13.8" viewable)E551
1 Yr. Next Business Day On-Site Parts&Labor, Yrs 2&3 Parts
Windows Millennium Edition Operating System
New Microsoft TM Works Suite 2001 with Money 2001
Intel 3D AGP Graphics
48X Max Variable CD-ROM Drive
1.44MB Floppy Drive
Soundblaster 64V PCI with Music Match Software
PC Speakers
V.90/56K PCI DataFax Modem for Windows
No Network Card Requested
AOL 1-Year Internet Access Service
QuietKey® Keyboard
Logitech First Mouse+ Wheel (PS/2v)
Norton Antivirus® 2000 for Windows Millennium
Dell Proactive Support by Attune
Resolution Assistant

You're getting a quality Dell PC with excellent tech support and best of all 1 year of AOL Internet Service is included.
