Make me feel better and tell me your awful "I ordered from Circuit City.com and they screwed me" story.

Cliffs:

I ordered a Samsung 50" DLP with a free Samsung HTIB system.

I was told I wouldn't be receiving the HTIB because I did not click on the "web only special" link.

I am bounced around India to 8 different CSRs over three hours.

"Retail Escalations" sets everything straight - but the order has to be canceled and a new one placed - draining, in total, about $3k from my bank account (to be refunded in 5-7 days but still)

No delivery confirmation phone call last night. I call delivery people today they have no record of any delivery being scheduled, from the corporate office or otherwise.

I think I'll stick with BB after this.

You could always check OneCall and Amazon prices they've had some sweet deals on Samsung DLPs in the past. Crutchfield does too once in a while but usually only on closeouts.

The DLP weighs about 80 pounds unboxed FYI.

Keep trying, my 2006 model Samsung 50" 1080p DLP is quite nice, and your 2007 model should be even better.

Which Samsung 50" are you talking about? The 1080P one with an LED light engine?

Their accounting department should have a record of it. If it came from your account and they haven't return it then they definatley have some record of it in their accounting department. If they are still giving you sh1t despute the charge on your credit card. Once you do this they will have to prove you paid for this and that they shipped it to you. If they can't they will return the money. I believe most banks companies will temporary credit your account during the investigation.

I opted to not go with the LED model - it's a question of price really. There was about a $450 difference. It's the HLT5076S, I believe.

I've had some issues with CC's website and store before. If you email CC through the website to complain, someone eventually does take a look at it. I got a $24 gift card out of it once. Sure, it's chump change compared to your purchase, but maybe they'll try to set things right through other means.
