Circuit City making a rebound?

I still remember the abysmal company e-mail last christmas from Alan saying how sh!tty we had been doing. Looks like the relocation and updating is starting to take effect. Still in the red, but coming back up.

Im sure it also helps that they have been getting rid of all the highest paid sales associates in the store for teenage grunts that will work for half as much....

they opened up a new store across the street from work. It's a nice store. I'd rather shop their than BB any day.

I sold thousands upon thousands of dollars of their city advantage crap, often making the entire stores city budget on my own.

They fired me for being habitually tardy, by about 5 minutes.

Circuit City will not make a turnaround by throwing money away like that.
Circuit City is a business, their job is to make money, not fire employees for being tardy.

I concur!

CC is doing well because Best Buy sucks.

Well that's my theory. CC may be trying to compete w/ BB on the sucks side of things, but, they've got a long way to go.

I like circuit city more than best buy.

Circuit City has cheaper prices and a friendlier staff IMHO, but BB has a better selection and the store looks better.

If I was the only decent employee you had, the only one making money, you'd fire me for being 5 minutes late?

5 minutes affects nothing, $5000 of warrant affects quite a bit.

The Best Buy stores in my area are extremely crowded. CC on the other hand, just has a small amount of people in the store. I find it easier to shop there. I don't understand what all the rage is with people liking Best Buy. I'm sick of being hounded by their sales people for extended warranties so I've taken a break from BB.

Both of the CCs near me suck horribly, they are small, dirty and un-organized. As much as I hate BB I shop there more, or I will until the Fry's opens up early next year. 😀
