This is worth a try.... price match CC VideoCam with the one from the OfficeMax ad (nicely scanned in the other thread). $19.99 - $35 in rebates = -$25.

FYI:

The Dreamcast Smash Pack that is in the paper for $179.99 is actually $119.99 at the stores. The ad is a misprint!!!!!

The Kensington VideoCam doesn't not work under Windows 2000. The 'beta' driver will not be out until late Feb.

For those of you whose ads don't show these items, they all seem to be available online for the prices I mentioned. Item number for free Joystick is DESTROYER. Maybe their ads are regional.

The CD-RW's are on the 6th page between the HP cdrw drives and the Altec Lansing speakers, just above the Kensington PC CAMERAS. "your choice - $9.99 each after rebate" 25 pack STI Certified CDRW spindle // 25 pack slim case Verbatim CD-R's.

The IBM camera I bought for $10 @ BB last fall was the BIGGEST piece of CRAP camera I have ever bought, I couldn't take it back fast enough, the picture kept going from light to dark to light etc......, while my $10 D-Link camera never had that problem even using either camera's software or Netmeeting, the IBM would do it in all the software I tried. But your mileage may vary.

Sir Allen,

The keningston camera seems to have gotten good reviews at ZDNet, but all the CC's in my area (NW Ohio) were out of stock at 12:00pm this morning. It seems that all the stores didn't get them in yet. I was able to buy one anyway any they'd call me when it comes in however.

BTW- They will NOT PM with Office Max for $19.99. They look at the final rebate price as the cost of the unit.

Are those TDK cdr's the same Certified Plus cdr's they had a similar deal on a few weeks ago? If so, I bought 2 packs the last time, can I buy 2 more and get the rebates?

The CC ad says "Offer excludes previous purchases". That could mean if you bought the CD-R disks before todays sale you can't bring them in to get them reticketed for the rebates -- and it could mean if you took advantage of the TDK sale two or three weeks ago. you are not elgible to participate in this weeks refund. No one in the store knew what it meant. I prefer to think it has the first meaning -- but I wouldn't bet a lot on it.

I don't know if this is the same deal but a new sale just started today (2-15) that has these cdr's for free. It is a 30 pack of TDK 80 min spindle.
$24.99 - $10. mfr. mail-in rebate
- $10. cc MIR
- $5 instant rebate
I guess that leaves you paying for tax and postage stamps...
part # was CDR80CB30TG

On the same flyer was a free D-Link USB Digital Video Camera (DSBC100)
$30 - rebates and whatnot = free

also a Caller ID phone (not to good of quality though (775196I) -- $15 - rebates = Free
Hope this is worthy information.
