Well, I just went to my local CC tonight- and had in mind this open-box Panasonic 26"HDTV for $349 that I saw last night at this clearance price. This is a great deal, I thought, even with missing remote and manual- they still had the 30days return and 1-yr. warranty.

So I come in tonight and WHAM- it's been jacked up to $499. Mind you, this is not a sale of the week item. I actually saw it at the lower price twice before and inquired about it. That prolly doomed the deal.:(

Those greedy idiots now knew that this was a steal price and predictably jacked it up. I asked these 2 store clerks, a black and hispanic quy who were just joking around helping nobody, about the price change. The black dude with a laugh in your face attitude says "yes, we do change it- get used to it!" HOLY FVCK, they don't wanna hide the jerks they are. I know of at least 2 other store workers who knew about the lower price. So they're all in on it.

I goto the customer service and tell them what happened- "you just lost a customer for life-GET USED TO IT!"

Hell, I know it's just a damn tv and my storming out won't change a thing. And I'm def. not telling anyone to boycott their store if you find a great deal. Heck, what they did is all prolly very legal.

But just watch out for this shady business- if they can, they'll screw you and save all the deals for their friends. And they're out in the open that they don't give a damn.:|:disgust:

You don't have to tell me that- I already know.:)
But if I can save you a buck or two, just had to get this off my chest.

This kind of reminds me of that show Airline where people stand around and complain about the service they get from Southwest Airlines. Good grief... if you're going to shop at the bottom of the barrel why would you expect anything less than bottom of the barrel service?

I know- but it's not an item on sale that changes every week.
They should honor the lower price- what, it's suddenly worth more now that I pointed it out to them?

Agreed.
Waiting is fruitless unless it's BF.

It obviously matters that they were black/hispanic. It's also against the law for any company/store to change the price on anything, ever, at any time. Grow up. :)

The CC in Hollywood blows... unless you're buying a $4000 TV then they become your best friends.
