in this weeks ad the lg vx6000 is 149.99 with a $50 rebate making it $99.99 and you also get a $100 gift card instantly at circuit city.

anyone know if you have to sign up for a 1 or 2 yr contract? in the fine print it says 1 or 2 year.....so does that mean i can just sign up for a 1 yr contract?

right now i am on my 9th day of verizon's 15 day trial. i'd rather go with this deal if i can just be locked in for 1 year instead of my current two years.

I don't know about verizon but at att wireless you have to pay the activation fee for 1 year but it's wavied with the 2 year. So that could be the case with verizon. In any case I'd go for the 1 year contract because after a year you can always call up and "threaten" to cancel so you can get a discount. I've done that with att and cingular, often they'll offer you either a discounted phone or a free month and if you lucky you can get a discount rate plan.

Ha. That's why many people are going for T-Mobile. Never anything larger than a 12 month contract. None of the major carriers have cheaper plans. And rebates/deals never have hidden requirements. :)

Your best bet is to stop in and read the rebate forms. Don't believe anything an employee tells you.

I think on the website, with a 1 year plan, that phone is $150 with a $50MIR. You pay more for the phone and pay for activation with the 1 year plan.

But also on the website, it says that the rebate is valid only with a 2 yr agreement, but they still advertise it under the 1yr contract phone price.

I bought an LG vx6000 phone recently. And when I bought it the rebate was only good on the 2 year contract.
My rebate form which was also for $75 said only on 2-year contracts. This was an order from
the website, so it might not be the exact same, however I would not be surprised if it was a 2-year deal only.
