Have no idea what CDR that is.
From my experiences, the CDRs with brand name (not OEM) that sold in any B&M stores are fine.

I think these CDRs are STI brand 650 MB. They were identified using CDRIdentifier to be made by Princo. I have heard that Princo is one of the worst CDR manufacturers. Well, they are "free," so get them if you want some really cheap CDRs.

By the way, not all CDRs sold at B & M stores are good. The "GQ" brand CDRs sold at Fry's were pretty crappy. They are labeled as 12X but they don't work even at 8X. Okay, maybe others are okay, but the GQs are the worst.

since STI does not make their CDR, so the CDR might have differernt manufacturer each batch.
I know what you mean, Rpzero. I have seem that B&M sell the CDR without brand name, just clear silver CDR. Most of those are crappy CDR.

These are actually 80 min CDRs (I got one set). How do I check what brand, etc? I'll do so tonight if someone tells me how to go about doing so?

do a search for CDRIdentifier and then download the program. Put the CDR into your burner and then run the program to identify who made the CDR. Very simple.

Point of interest on the rebates, the CDR's have two rebates involved, one from CC ( I have never had a problem ), and the other rebate is from STI Certified. The only way to check status etc is via a long distance phone number ( area code 510 xxx-xxxx ). Enough said
