Circuit Board, how to remove EM shielding

Question: Is there an easier way to remove the EM shielding? The metal "box" seems to be wielded onto the mobo

Shielding is usually tacked in place with solder at various points to keep it from coming off when jarred. Only way to remove is with a soldering iron and some desoldering braid.

^the shielding may also have tabs that go through the board that are twisted/soldered.
