Anyone ever taken this before? Aside from feeling like I could drink a whole lake's worth of water, I'm freaking exhausted. This stuff is pretty serious.

its an antibiotic, somehow, i don't think the exhausted part has anything to do w/ the medicine, but what you're taking it for rather.
the drinking alot of fluid is nothing new, alot of antibiotics can make u want to drink alot of fluids on them. you might also want to take the cipro on a full stomach or at leeast w/ some food

Most of us have no problem getting an erection. You must be old.

It's anthrax medication.

What was it prescribed for? I know a person who had to take it a few years back just to get rid of an infection that other anti-biotics wouldn't tackle.

What else would you use?

<---Knows zero about medicine.

I just thought Cipro was used for some extreme cases - when regular anti-biotics would not work. I guess your doc thought the Cipro was the only thing that would work.

I dunno. I'm allergic to penacillin, so this might have been the only alternative.

My brother was given Cipro for an ear infection once, I think its a normally perscribed drug

I had to take it back when the Antrax scare happened, it made my joints hurt and it made me pee all the time. They wanted to give me the vaccine for Antrax but I said no thank you. :)

Recently I stopped my course of Ranbaxy for my sore throat. Couldn't stand the way it was killing my stomach. Safe to say I'm most probably now harbouring a colony of resistant bacteria.
