Cingular v600 cell phone as a modem

I recently purchased a v600 phone and the data cable and motorola software. I am wondering if there is a way to connect my phone with my dial up internet provider so that I can access the net when I am on the road. I have the basic GSM national plan. Any thoughts or comments?

I got my Motorola V500 to work with my ISP. I used a cheap unbranded data cable (suitable for V60 series) and used free software available from here. BTW, this is basically the same phone.

I would say that your task should be easy, be ready for some tinkering though and beware that a 2.5G GSM phone will make a 56K modem seem like broadband.
