Is it free to recieve text message? i know it cost .02 or 10cents for sending from your phone, but is it free to recieve them from your friends?

I can't find that on the FAQ at cingular website, and i just want to make sure because i keep sending a friend of mine text messages on his cingular account.

Nope, you pay to receive them as well.

that sucks, i have ATT and its free to recieve them.

oh crap my friend is going to hate me when he gets the extra charges.

Yeah... It kind of sucks. If you send a lot of text messages, it's worth it to add one of the media plans (or whatever) to your phone. If you don't send a lot, then the $0.10 both ways isn't going to kill you.

well i probably added already like 2.50$ to his phone bill.

that really sucks because anyone can text message you if they know your phone number and add to your phone bill.
