I keep hearing from people that Cingular is going to buy out AT&T's wireless division. I know that neither of them own their own network, but I hear that they use the same one. I don't know if that's true.
It's hard to believe that AT&T will sell its wireless division after investing millions on MLife. So whats the dilly?

I doubt att would sell their wireless division. isn't it the only thing left of att? well besides their long distance which is fast going the way of the dodo bird.

man how the mighty have fallen.

Since AT&T has some networks using GSM, Cingular signed a contract with AT&T using their tower as part of Cingular tower network.

its a contract between them

<<AT&T's wireless division>>

AFAIK ATT spun off the wireless biz, so it's not a division anymore
