Cingular Blackberry 8300 & POP3

One of my hosting clients got a Blackberry and wants to set it up to receive his email via the Blackberry. Since he is ~200 miles away I cant exactly set it up for him, nor have I ever configured a blackberry before. He does not want it to sync with Outlook on his computer.

How do you setup a pop3 account on the Blackberry 8300 with Cingular?

I know Cingular has cingular.com/blackberrystart but that doesnt help much.

if it is anything like verizon, the phone doesn't have a pop3 client on the phone, the messages are "pushed" to the phone via a web service. you had to go to a website, and input the pop3 server info to set everything up.

worked like this:
(to recieve, automatic at set intervals)
web service queries your pop3 server
web service gets copy of your messages
web service pushes message to your phone

(to send, immediate)
create & send message from phone
web service recieves & resends across intraweb
