Cingular/ATT question...

I just bought a Samsung A707 Sync ... however it is an ATT branded phone without a new contract. So its an AT&T Phone.

So I currently have a cingular branded Moto Slvr from a while back. It has a Cingular '64k' SIM card (the phone says ATT as the network when on the home screen).

Can I put my current SIM into my new ATT branded phone and have it work? I know normally it wouldn't work with say a tmobile SIM, however since they are the same company after the merger... idk. Thanks!

Judging by the fact that it's a rather recent model I'm going to go ahead and say that it's probably going to work.
I don't think they made that on the blue side (i.e. old AT&T Wireless).

Older "blue" phones are always branded "AT&T Wireless" I believe.
