Apparently, she is hit with selective judgment and memory.... What are your thoughts on that? I think that's the most idiotic statement so far, in this campaign.

Text

(CNN) ? Cindy McCain lashed out at Barack Obama Tuesday, telling a Tennessee newspaper the Illinois senator has waged the "dirtiest campaign in American history." The comments came hours before her husband, Republican nominee John McCain, was slated to square off with the Illinois senator at the second presidential debate, and are among her harshest to date of her husband's rival for the White House. Speaking to the Tennessean, Cindy McCain also said her husband would use Tuesday night's town hall forum as an opportunity to correct what she suggested were misleading statements from the Obama campaign. ?What I have found is that it?s necessary to make sure the American people understand what we have to say, what we stand for as a husband and wife, and what we will do for the American people if we?re lucky enough to be elected,? Mrs. McCain also told the paper. Both presidential campaigns have stepped up the intensity of their attacks, with only four weeks remaining until Election Day. The McCain campaign raised Obama's past relationship to 1960's radical William Ayers over the weekend, prompting the Democratic nominee?s campaign to unleash a 13-minute documentary Web video Monday detailing the Arizona senator?s involvement in the Keating Five scandal. In an admitted effort to turn the dominating narrative away from the nation's ailing economy, McCain?s campaign also launched a new offensive against Barack Obama's trustworthiness Monday, releasing a new campaign ad that asks "Who is Barack Obama?", and tells voters the Illinois senator is 'lying' about his record.

I have a feeling that her marriage is a sham. I don't think they "love" each other. Its more about her getting into elite political circles.

I cross posted this thread with you. I am cancelling the other and adding my commment here:

Personally, I feel Obama had run a very clean, issue oriented campaign and only got personal and negative after McCain started to go dirty. Even then I felt Obama didn't do nearly as much as I thought he would, or even had a right to.
Perhaps Cindy is feeling the election slipping away, and she's thinking "God, what if I actually have John at home all the time?"

Talk about the pot's wife calling the kettle black is the only way to put it. Maybe Cindy needs to look at Sarah. MS mudslinger herself.

She needs to reacquaint herself with her addiction to vicodin/percocets so she doesn't open her mouth again.

McCain has said he only went negative because Obama wouldn't agree to his plan for a series of "town Hall meetings". I guess that means Obama is responsible for McCain's ads, ergo he is responsible for the dirtiest campaign ever...

So, if you disagree with me, I'm going to link you to terrorists, discredit you by any means necessary, etc.

Wow, that's a violent response...

As i've been sitting here watching the local news here in Southwest FL, i've now seen 4 McCain commercials and 2 Obama commercials in nearly 30 minutes. All 4 of McCain's commercials were negative, one of Obama's was negative, the other positive.

I'm gonna stop watching tv soon, these commercials are getting annoying.

I can come to only one of two conclusions:

a) She is ignorant/stupid and believes what she said.

b) She's taking a hit for the campaign and accepting a demotion from shiny accouterment to common BS dispenser.

McCain is undoubtedly much more negative than Obama, but even he isn't as negative as recent senatorial campaigns in Minnesota. Probably the same applies to any other state where you have hotly contested senate and representative seats. The Al Franken/Norm Coleman contest has been brutal. Makes McCain look like a Care Bear.

Really though, I'm sure this is just a sign of desperation by the McCain campaign. They know they're way behind but they really can't just admit defeat. I saw an interview with a McCain campaign staffer today and it was pathetic the way she was answering questions, as though she was living in her own little reality, but then I realized she didn't have much of an option.

Cindy's dreamy aspirations of becoming "First Lady" is taking that lazy, swirling journey down the crapper and she is merely expressing her frustrations as she helplessly watches that turd of a campaign and those broken dreams go down into the dark sewers where all craptastic well-deserved failures seem to collect.

I think that many here are biased. Trying to say that the McCain's marriage is a sham for one,... sometimes Obama supporters make him look worse than he is.

Then again, I tend to see Democrats lash out with much more venom and needlessly so for no reason. We can debate issues,... but the most likely response I will get is trash talking,... prove me wrong guys.
