Cinco de Mayo next Friday! Who is throwing down?

It's funny now this is an excuse for many in the US to just get drunk. Though this time, since it falls on a Friday you don't need that excuse.

I'm going to sleep 'till 11am, go in to work late, take a 2 hour lunch and leave work at 3:30. Then I'll go home, get drunk and beat my wife.

Viva Mexico!

It celebrates the Mexican victory against the French at the Battle of Puebla.

2,000 Mexican troops lead by General Zaragoza, defeated the French force of 6,000 on May 5, 1862.

something about defeating the french....not sure why they have to celebrate that though as there is nothing special about defeating the french 😉

You haven't really experienced Mexican culture until you've heard Fastback's The Way performed by a twenty piece mariachi orchestra. It was awesome.
