Most flights these days don't allow smoking that I'm aware of. I don't see that you couldn't bring them with you at all, but you may want to be careful with the lighter and whatnot when you go through security. No need to get shot or arrested over a cigarette lighter, after all....

No reason to. Most airports are 100% smoke free. You can't even smoke in the bars or private clubs.

I wouldn't be surprised these days. Carry em in your pocket just in case.

screw those guys.. take em

you have to put them in the tray in the security checks and let them get scanned. Every checkpoint.

Even though most airports are smoke free you can always step outside. THere is always a place.

I've been in several airports that allow smoking in the bars in the last month...

Plus, you could always go outside.

To answer your original question... you will have no problem getting your cigs and a lighter through security.

The Philly airport was one of the ones I recently had a layover at.

Yes, you can smoke in bars there.

I'm sure they sell cigarettes but they'd be expensive.. just bring them with you.
They are definitely allowed through security.

It's sorta stupid. They won't let you take a nail file on board, but a lighter filled with butane is A-OK. Gotta love tobacco lobbying.

Which ones? DFW, Tyler, and Birmingham are smoke free.

I was amazed I made it through security and onto the plane with my pocketknife when I flew last month.

I usually check it in my luggage, but I had forgotten, so I quickly stuffed it in the bottom of my carry-on and went right through. :Q
