I wonder if a computer's power supply really has enough surplus capacity to support heating the element of a cigarette lighter.

If you ask me, liquids do not belong on a computer. Fire does not belong near a computer.

This deal is so hot that you could set your computer on fire ;)

Isn't a cars electrical system on 12v also? Might be handy if you need to charge your cell phone or something.

Yes that is how they can do it. But the wattage draw from the lighter must be huge. Don't use it while playing games. ;)

I'm not an EE nor do I play one on TV but i would think the AC->DC conversion would be less efficient then just plugging it right into the wall.

cigarette lighter and ashtray or cup holder for a 5 1/2 inch bay.....

you are entering another dimension, one not only of sight and of sound, but of mind......your next stop, the twilight zone

"holy disaster waiting for a place to happen, Batman!!"

hell, enough people already use the cd tray as a cup holder

just ordered both! Can't wait to smoke and drink next to my highly flammable $2500 PC!!! I mean c'mon.... if my PC catches fire from smoking I can still save it by using the cup in the cup holder filled with everclear.

Eh, people already smoke and drink inside their highly flammable $20,000+ cars.

WTF kind of house are you living in where there's more 5.25-Inch drive bays nearby than outlets?
