Does anyone remember this guy who made a front panel that had a built in cigarette later and USB ports in a 5.25" Bay...i'm sure it was here it was posted.

Anyway, I can't believe they have no released a cigarette lighter mod commercially!!!

heh, that's funny.

i guess it could be useful for smokers.

now they just need an astray that ejects like a CD-ROM 😛

Just been browsing through EBuyer, spotted this device. I'm a little concerned at this product because of it high current needs , how many PC's will have dead psu's because of the sudden current surge needed for this device ,car cigar lighters take around 10 amps at 14.4 volts so if your going to buy this ,just make sure you PSU is rated highly enough to handle this device.

Just think ,you're doing some important task on you pc , maybe tax returns ,etc then you sit back for a quick i love you, push the lighter in and ,POP,all work work lost and no i love you, a good remedy for stress,i don't think so. A normal i love you lighter is much more cheaper in the long run,is'nt it???

Nows this is a product i like to see....
bl00dy cracking product, just like a car cigarette lighter, but even better, as it fits in your computer....

Top product, now wheres me clip on ash tray, come on sunbeam, get some more stuff like this cooking..

I can see one good use for the USB toothbrush...you're a businessman...you're on the road all the time....hey no need to take your toothbrush charger with you...you can just plug into your laptop.....you may look odd at meetings....but hey, you're teeth will be shiney white.

Uh. I've seen one commercially. I think PCmods. Albeit not intended to be used with cigarettes, but for things like car chargers for cell phones. Just go to R-shack and grab a cig lighter jack and wire it straight into your 12v line. *gasp* difficult!

Actually, I've built one as a collaborative project between my girlfriend and I. Overclocked it too 😛

Thing is, you either need to be using a powered hub or no hub at all - this beyawtch sucks all 5mA available to each port (Or on some mobos, each set of two ports)

Working on a software implementation that can be used with pr0n to control the vibrations.

Not bad, maybe I can ask one of my seniors if they want this for their semester design!
 
WARNING: The primary use for this device is to hookup automotive devices that normally hook into the cigarette lighter slot -- but not necessarily to light cigarettes.

Meh, the commercial ones are weak. Looked into them. It takes a REAL man to figure out how to please a woman with a shotty 5v/5A. BTW, rev 1 of the drivers are now available - Win32 tweaking of the vibration intensity. Now I just need to turn 18 so I can get some high quality porno so I can figure out how to do the rest of this.

And for anyone interested - www.mouser.com is where I get all my components (Using five 5v/1A pager vibrate motors) except the rubber casing, which came from a generic sex shop and was hollowed out aftermarket.
