I don't think it's fair to lay this all of on the CIA alone... I'll wait more facts to come to light before I'll pass judgement though...

Ok, so who would you lay it on?
Who are you going to get the facts from if you can't even get em' from the CIA. I guess its not a big deal, FOX will take care of us. :)

edit:

A retired intelligence analyst who left the government late last year, who would speak only on condition of anonymity, says other agencies complained that they were bulldozed by the CIA when they tried to temper warnings that Iraq presented an immediate security threat.

Nice.

Other intelligence agencies also are questioning CIA actions before the war. A classified National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq coordinated by the CIA last fall contains dissenting views from the State Department's Intelligence and Research Bureau, its in-house intelligence analysis shop and the Department of Energy's nuclear weapons specialists.

I think the administration officials like Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and others should share at least some of the blame...

However, as I said before, I'm waiting to see what other facts come to light as these investigations get underway.

And don't forget Alistar7. He should carry some of the blame, too. And that Charrison guy. I knows he's got his dirty little paws in there somewhere.

I think the information was the best info available at the time. But I also think information was used or disregarded based on a preconceived decision that we were going to war.

If all of the intelligence information available was looked at impartially maybe the UN inspections would have gone on longer and a more rational decision could have been made. It is beginning to look like the Iraq war could have been avoided or at least handled in a less drastic fashion because there may not have been such an imminent threat like President Bush and PM Tony Blair kept saying.
