Notice what group that the writer doesn't mention for any blame in the whole affair. Hint - check the nationality of the writer.

The so-called Prince Abdullah plan--which would offer Israel normalization of relations with the Arab world in return for withdrawal from all the lands Israel seized during the 1967 Middle East War--contains a number of positive proposals for solving the Israeli-Palestinian problem. But it is far from being comprehensive. And it omits any reference to those who should be held responsible for this tragic conflict.

I don't think anyone should be held responsible for the conflict. instead they need to work on resolving it.

So the prince has backed out of recognizing Israel as a country. What the heck is "normalization of relations"? The norm over there has been continous conflicts.

Hey! He forgot the media! But wait... I guess that would mean that he was somehow to blame, and that would be mature. Unless he labeled all media as Israeli sympathizers... then he could give the appearance of maturity without actually being mature. Or even better, he could identify that there are multiple currents in the media, but the Israeli sympathizer media was to blame while the other viewpoints were not. That way, he could give the impression of an intelligent mature person, without actually being either. Ah well... lifelong victimization does bad things to a person.
