Sheesh..I come back after 2 hours and my ad is down 8 pages. It would be better if FS/FT were sub-divided into hardware categories, such as CPU's, Mobo's, memory, software, etc. It would cut back on the shark-feeding "bumps" to keep ads floating on top...Wounded Monitor Child ~#1300.

I feel for ya, brotha! :)
Last time I posted something, it went 5 pages deep in about an hour. This place is just getting so big, with so much activity, that it will someday need catagories. Actually, it needs them now, but whether Anand could justify it, is another story.

Would be great if things were sub-divided into categories, I agree. I don't imagine it'll be happening anytime soon so here's some things we can do until then:

1 - Post with standard conventions like FS/FT, WTB/WTT, etc. in mind. (We could include the posting conventions in the trading advice or Rules sticky)
2 - Title threads informatively as opposed to "eye-catchingly". Your thread title is sometimes the best way for people to hook up with you, particularly if they're not subscribers and don't have access to the full-text search. Include the main items you're selling/buying and spare us the jokes, the "L@@K"'s, and such.
3 - Get in the habit of bumping sparingly. I realize that most people will do this. For those that don't, zap em a quick PM to remind em. It doesn't need to be a chastizement, just a friendly reminder.
4 - Use your head when bumping someone else's thread. (i.e. If it's on the first page, it's a nice gesture, but it doesn't need a bump)
5 - (I was going to write something brilliant here, I just know it.) ;)
