Chunk or chuck?

I have some friends who say "chunk" when referring to throwing something away.

e.g. I "chunked" it in the trash.

I thought this was weird, because I grew up with "chucked." Anyone have any other variations on this?
 
Chuck = slang for to throw. As in to throw away.
Chunk = pieces of something. As in to Blow Chunks.

But maybe you could Chuck your Chunks in the trash...
