Essentially, it's a small internet appliance/alarm clock that can run flash widgets. Wifi, 320x240 3" touchscreen, 2 USB ports, stereo speakers, 266MHz processor, 32MB SDRAM, and 64MB Flash.

It's supposed to cost $150 and the makers encourage hardware and software hacking of the device.

At first I thought it was pretty dumb and pricey, but for $150, I think it would be fun to play with and at the very least, if I get bored with it, I end up with a fancy alarm clock. I'm excited to see what sort of hacks people will come up with.

I really dig products that encourage creativity. Sounds like one very cool little gizmo that has boundless uses. Is it AC or battery based?

AC, it uses a standard 9V for backup during power outages.

I can just imagine one that has a big red dot that pulsates and says:

"I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do"

And the ever popular: "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that."
