Chrysler/Dodge lease

I have a Dodge leased vehicle that I will be turning in this weekend. Knowing that Chrysler shut down their lease division about 6 months ago and the down car market, I am fearing the worst in terms of turn-in costs. Anyone turn in a lease recently? How did it go? Are they being more picky than usual?

Friend of mine did that a few months ago. It went OK for him, he did clean it up a bit before taking it in, so it was all shiny, and it looked pretty good.

Bottom line is, check your contract, and follow it to the letter.
They may even offer (beg) you to buy back the car for a good price. They went $2K lower, then said $3k, then $3500, and he still passed. He was saying he bets they would have gone even lower, but he was in a rush to leave, and he didn't really like the car all that much.

Your lease turn in cost is stated in your lease agreement, as is how they determine what items you get charged for. Chrysler offers a pre-lease turn in inspection to you at no charge. A 3rd party company inspects your car and gives you a damage report. I do that to get an idea of what C/D/J is going to charge me. In your case... guess you'll find out!
