BTW, C&D must have really wrung every last 10th out of the car to get that 0-60 time. The original manufacturer's estimate was 6.3s, and Autoweek tested it at 5.8s.

Edit: never mind, Autoweek's number was an estimate. Still, C&D sometimes has very quick times.
Sometimes? Their Mazda3s times were like a second faster than everybody. Their WRX STi time for 0-60 is 4.6 seconds, while Edmunds pegs the STi at 5.8 seconds.😕

They need to redo the front. It looks like a Rolls in some way. To 'big'.
You should have seen the prototype - the grille was even bigger. I'm glad they toned it down some. Still don't like it much but now I'd consider buying one.

Well, Edmund's times are usually slower than average because I think their testers use a more "real world" driving style compared to most mags. C&D's at the other end of the spectrum. Maybe averaging the two gives you a good idea of the car's speed. 😉

One of my friends has a RR Silver Streak, thats a classy car, this is..... not. Tuna Boats with lots of power, this is nothing new, ever seen those old caddies ru the 1/4 mile with the 501's in em? Oh wait, this is the youngin zone nevermind.

It's all relative. IMO this car is just as classy as any other 35K car out there. Is it as sophisticated or as well built? I honestly think there will be a difference there, but I still think this car speaks class. Not to the degree of an RR, but I see the styling as a Bently for the masses with an upscale Chryco interior which I'm indifferent too. But I still think it's an exciting car, exciting in terms of what it does for Chrysler's lineup, and I'm real interested in how it does.

Caddy's weren't exactly classy, but the difference here is that Chrysler is mimicking European sedans whereas those old Caddy's were beating down a path they helped pioneer, worlds apart from the Benzes that people were beginning to look to for luxury...

Again, IMO 😉

put down the crack pipe...

That car looks like a cross between a bentley and rolls-royce. Drop dead gorgeous

Just my opinion.

I hate it. Go ahead and like it if you want. I don't care. I still think it's ugly. I think the latest Bentleys are ugly also.

Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it is attractive or desireable. Unless of course it has a prancing horse emblem on it. 😀

Many manufacturers are very conservative with their performance figures. BMW is a good example. Plus C&D are usually quicker than the other mags. But they have pointed out that in addition to driver differences, there can be differences between individual cars, and cars provided by the companies may be... er... "hand-picked."

Anyone else think they sorta look like Bentley's?
Me likes.

I totally agree. Looked great in person too when I saw a few of them at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.

man ... I've bene waiting for this car to hit the market for a couple years now ... I think im gonna hang on to my 300m for another 4 or 5 years ... but this is THE car that I really really want.

I love guzzling gas.

if 17/25 holds up that isn't bad for a 4000 lb car. no worse than an LS400, with a much smaller motor and lesser torque curve

It holds up if you drive 55. Just like every other car. 😉

No, realistically it's not that bad.

It gets 3MPG less on the highway than your Impreza does. And it weights a good 1000 pounds more and had more than double the HP & torque.

I don't think I'd call that exactly gas guzzling.

Wow... awesome. Mopar > Caddy > Lincoln.

This car or Acura TL? LOL... you don't need navi because this car knows exactly where it's going...

I've been anticipating this car's release for over 3 years now, and while I still love what it represents, I *REALLY* wish it was a little less 'pudgy' with sharper edges, especially up front. Then gimme one in all black with smoked headlight lenses and some old school rims with fat rubber!

You know, seeing it in person I didn't think the front end looked too big at all. The whole car is just really impressive. I love the slightly "chopped top" look of the roof line.
