Chrysler 300C Hemi 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. 1/4 mile in 13 second range

If only they'd give the Magnum a nice 6-speed MT.

300C is damn sexy, but I like the Magnum (AWD wagon with balls = ultimate daily driver).

Viper GTS

Besides the SRT-4, the new GTO, and the new Mustang, this is one domestic I *really* want 😀

If those numbers are accurate, that's just ridiculously fast. That means that in a straight line, this car (a 4000+ lb large sedan) would run with, if not beat, cars like the 350Z, S2000, BMW 330, Mustang GT, RX-8, etc. That hemi is putting down a hell of a lot of power.

Correction: 1/4 in the 13 second range. Saying 1/4 in 13 seconds is misleading 😛

But damn that's pretty quick...I'd still take the Magnum over the 300C though. Wish they would have made a Sedan Magnum b/c the Magnum just looks bad ass...

You really can't get the C with a manual, huh? But wow, that's ballsy for a huge automatic sedan. And they look great in dark colors. 😀

I wonder if my dad wants one......

These things things are all over the metro Detroit area right now. A friend of ours brought a Magnum Hemi to show off and man is that thing quick.

what about the C6 Corvette?

Well, the Viper and Corvette are both way way out of reach, but yes, the both of them are included 😀 Toss in the Ford GT for good measure too 😉

And the Pontiac Solstice? 😛

Another cool thing about the hemi in the 300C and Magnum R/T is that it uses new, improved cylinder deactivation technology for highway cruising so the gas mileage is not totally abysmal (I've seen estimates of 17/25 for the 300C).

I'm trying to build a 300C, and the Chrysler website still sucks. 😛 They should make it like Volvo's or Toyota's.

And the Pontiac Solstice?
Looks really nice, but it doesn't hype me up for some reason when thinking about driving one 🙁
I guess I'm too set in my ways to think that GM can make a nimble/tossable/fun car... 😛 Maybe I should drive one and change my mind 😉

BTW, C&D must have really wrung every last 10th out of the car to get that 0-60 time. The original manufacturer's estimate was 6.3s, and Autoweek tested it at 5.8s.

Edit: never mind, Autoweek's number was an estimate. Still, C&D sometimes has very quick times.

Saw a truckload of these in Vegas. Badass looking cars in darker colors.

I'm still itching to try a Magnum in R/T trim 😀
