Chrysler 300 Car of the Year

I'm already tired of the styling. It was a novelty. And now it's not. All you're left with is a Chrysler car. And we know how that goes.

I can't believe you of all people are endorsing the 300. Didn't you just buy a Ford 500 instead of the 300? 😕

😛

They may sell for $23,000 to $38,000 now, but you'll be able to buy them on eBay for $2000 to 5,000 by January. Chrysler sucks a big one... I just can't wait for all of the "little" things on this car to start breaking....like power windows, transmissions, etc....

Yeah...I'm mostly endorsing it because I'd feel like a traitor since I have a 300M..I don't think I'd buy a 300 tho because waaaay too many people have them already and the cheaper versions of it just rub me the wrong way...

Q: What's the difference between a $20000 Mopar and a $2000 Mopar?
A: About six months.

Contrary to this poster, I like the fact that a product that was designed and made in the US is a hit. American cars have been getting better in both quality and design over the years and you shouldnt knock it if your only explanation is that its made by Chrysler.

That's all that is needed though. 😛

Hardly. My friend has a Dodge pickup with over 200K, and his Acclaim just turned 400K. 😕 Mind you, they're both the old-school style, which seems to hold together a lot better. Meanwhile, that poor sap who works with my dad bought an Intrepid R/T three years ago. After 50K and $7500 in bills, the car is now worth $6K. 😉

Good for DCX. This has been a hit and they deserve it.

Is there even a car from Ford and Chevy that comes close to this? (500, the new G6). Kudos to Chrysler for making rear-wheel drive popular again.

The new Mustang is nice.

Yep Chrysler makes decent cars, My lebaron is of legal age and has 180k on it, with some TLC it could probably go another 100k easily.
Now as for the 2.7 ltr v6 and the 4-spd auto transmissions in the intrepid and stratus , they fubared those with no chance of fixing them.
With the exception of the 2.7ltr in the base model 300 they are going to be good for the long haul.

The Mustang is a coupe, and it get's  on having a solid rear axle.

BAH! I would rather have a SRA than damn CV joints in the rear.

It's not like they thought of putting a SRA from the start, Ford went with Jaguar S-type platform and decided to ditch the IRS for the SRA to save money. Handling would improve tremondously if they ditched that SRA.

On the CV joints, it's not like they're in the wheels that turn. So they'll last much longer than a FWD car.

Are you kidding me? This is Chrysler's foot in the door for upscale cars. This isn't like the Concord or the 300M, this one's going to hold it's value much better, it has a WAY better reputation than any Chrysler in the last 30 years.

Well the 300, Crossfire, Pacifica, and Town & Country are selling extremely well Chrysler is rebuilding its reputation.
