Chronicles of Riddick, i'm watching it again.

this movie could have been really really good with a better actor. Vin Diesel is all right, but he's not great.

i like the story tho. wish they hadn't made this movie so final. would have like to see more done with this world.

The director's cut version is good (for what it is), most of the people bad-mouthing it only saw the hacked-up theatrical verison missing all the background information and character development.

The Dark Fury anime was good too (by Aeon Flux / Animatrix guy Peter Chung)

... and I had no problem with Diesel as the lead, he did a decent job here and in Pitch Black.

Aye, I have the Directors cut on DVD, and it was pretty decent. I agree though, that it was nothing special, and that with a better actor, it would have been a much better flick.

He's not supposed to be melodramatic, breaking down and crying. He's playing a badass, what do you expect? I thought it was a great sci-fi movie.

I think they still have room to grow with the character. Since he defeated the leader of the Necromongers, he now has an army at his disposal. He could keep on the mission or he could ditch the whole effort and go back home and find out where he came from. Unless of course the Necromongers already destroyed his planet.

He fits perfectly with Pitch Black and the sequel Chronicles of Riddick.

I liked all Vin's movies that I've seen so far, including XXX and The Pacifier. Granted the Pacifier was a cheese movie, but it was for kids. I enjoyed it and so did my kids.
