SbzEngine.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point ?SSE_Mulitply_McMc_4.3@@YAXABV?$TMatrix43@MH@@0AAV1@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library MCCDyn.dll

I have read some posts (on the Vivendi website) but am not sure about pin pointing this.

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2500+ mobile CPU for my home computer barely overclocked to 1.9 GHZ but running at 400 MHZ just fine.

Once I click OK the game loads up. I haven't started to play yet. I am unable to use the available 1.1 patch I downloaded.

Maybe your copy of MCCDyn.dll is corrupt. Have you tried running chkdsk? Also, are you running Alcohol 120% or Daemon? Some games look for these utilities and freak out if they find them.

The stock speed of the cpu is 1.8. I was running at 1.9ish.
Just for the sake of saying I did it, all is back to 266 MHZ / 1.8 GHZ.

It still gives that error. The Vivendi KB article for this error is too vague. I have XP SP2. They mention SSE in the forums but I don't know about this issue.
I uninstalled and then used the SSE bootstrap program they have to install the program first. That didn't work. When I try to install the 1.1 patch I get something like old file not found...blah blah.

After reading some tech forum threads over there other people have had similar issues of crashing while trying to open the inventory screen, which is what happened to me the first 3 minutes into the game.
It is a pain to have to make a shortcut to the sbengine.exe that is in the x86 folder in order to start the game.
I don't have anything overclocked, there is nothing for me to update....I think this game has issues with certain hardware / software. I have no problems with any other game.

Reinstalling sp2?

I just got this reply from the main mod at the tech forum:

Simply put: There is no DVD version in the US. The UK has that version. So you downloaded the wrong patch.

(in reference to me downloading the US patch)

I just sent an email to CS at Gogamer.com asking if they sold me an import.

Can this still be played on my system ok?

How do I go about reinstalling SP2? I can't find it for download.

Did you try the UK patch or not? I also bought my copy from Gogamer, and yeah, it's an import.

well this sucks. I installed the patch successfully for EU, and then there is no sound. I go into the audio settings and EAX is turned off.
I enable it and the game crashes a few seconds later.

oddly enough it seems to be working now.

Seems to be rather graphic intensive or just a "muddy" feel to the movements in the game.

I turned down the details to blank textures and it still feels kinda sluggish. It could be just the way the game is?

I will try with my widescreen CRT at different resolutions when it finally gets here since I only have a 9600xt and I am on a 2005FPW right now.
