Chromecast: Casting from browser to TV?

So on my laptop I can broadcast from my Chrome window to the TV, but there doesn't seem to be an option on Chrome on my Nexus 7. Is it possible?

yes it is possible you just need to download the chromecast app on your Nexus 7

There is no official way to cast from your mobile device, but it works fine on your PC version of chrome.

They actually did release a chromecast app on December 18th in the playstore though, so that might solve all your problems

edit: nevermind, that's the same chromecast app that's always been there... it was just updated on the 18th

Did Brian Klug ever wire an official anandtech article how bad miracast is or did he just keep his complaints to twitter and the podcast.

Never saw anything about miracast being bad, so twitter/podcast probably. I had hope, but its not catching on at all. 🙁
