Just saw this article by toms hardware guide. i don't think microsoft has any plans to let windows xp survive any longer than april 2014 but it would be wise for the internet if microsoft did some limited support for windows xp.

Wouldn't count on it. Microsoft has been quite aggressive about getting rid of XP lately.

But I agree some limited form of support would be good for the rest of us.

I don't think MS should continue support. XP's an antique at this point, and people need to upgrade. It would be preferable if they upgraded to something that didn't have built in obsolescence, but in any case, they need to move. If computers/networks start falling, that should provide the kick in the ass to change. If not, the court system can handle the damages, and the market will enforce an upgrade.
