Chrome webpage login in issues, especially with HTTPS

Hi. Everytime I try to login in to a secure website chrome doesn't seem to login in properly. It duplicates the login page rather than just signing in to the website. Even more, you can't sign in to the website without closing the duplicated page and then re-using the original page. Its funny because it even happens with google's own Gmail webpage.

Does anyone else experience this? Does anyone have a fix for this sign in problem?

I don't have this issue with IE9 or firefox.
