Chrome Speed

I have to say, I had moved away from Chrome after a few pages were performing really slowly (mostly because of crappy flash) and I didn't like the stuttering during scrolling. I had noticed that it had been updated a couple times since the last time I used it...so I went back to it yesterday and am amazed at the progress they've made. Pages are loading great and flash doesn't seem to be as much of a hog as it used to be (maybe I'm dreaming that). Either way, I'm giving it another shot.

I have it installed but i barely used it, im still having the high cpu issues with flash and .gif's so i refuse to use it till they fixed those problems.

one animated .gif takes 100% cpu, ridiculous.

Yea.. I have other "beta"-y issues that I run into that keeps me from using it full time.

It has failed to load some the forum today a few times. Says the page has become "unresponsive". I just hit refresh and it is good to go. Since this has not happened in Firefox today...I assume it is Chrome. Still the browser overall is working pretty well compared to the last time I used it regularly. It's obviously still needs some polishing.

I have a problem in both Windows and OS X where it will just not work. I will launch it, and I type in an address, open a new tab, select two of my top sites and then wait for like 2 minutes while NOTHING happens, the little indicators just keep spinning (or whatever it is they do). Meanwhile, i have opened up Safari or IE8 and gotten the information I wanted.
