i'm getting this weird thing where if i open a link in chrome (i use mouse3 to open - clicking the scroll wheel), about 1:3 times, it opens the same page twice. so, two identical youtube videos, for example. not just youtube, any link does this.

have not updated anything and have not installed anything. i think i uninstalled a couple non-browser related softwares since, but i don't see a link.

any thoughts?

Go to Settings, advance settings, at bottom of page, Restore settings to their original defaults.

Just reading the title of the topic, my first guess is faulty mouse. Phantom clicks/double clicks is the absolute most common symptom of hardware failure in a mouse.

You can test it by clicking anything where a double click would easily show a tangible difference. Click desktop icons and if something you click actually opens instead of highlighting that means it sent a double click instead of a single.

I've noticed this behavior with Chrome and specific sites. Sorry, can't find one of the sites right now.

I've assumed it was some problem on the website's end.

I've seen this two. It also happens when I click back, it'll double click back. Verified it's getting two button events, too. Only Chrome does it.

Did you uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled?
