Question Chrome, Javascript, and BAT

Have searched this subject here to no avail. There's an excellent site for car geeks like myself called Bring a Trailer (BAT). I've been frequenting it for years, but only recently have registered in order to post in the comments section for a particular auction I was interested in. The site lists a vehicle, gives a long description, then shows as many pictures as have been submitted, followed by a commentary section for bidders and watchers. So I register, and make my first comment, and a second. BAT holds those initial comments until you've been vetted. When I went back later in the day, I could see no comments on any auction, with the note saying "enable javascript to view/bid". I found it in the settings, it is in fact enabled. I cleared caches and cookies and history and rebooted, and still no joy. Can go to other household computers and log in and there everything works fine, my comments have been allowed and posted. Anyone have any insight what might be going on here with chrome on this particular machine? Win 10, fully updated, Chrome Version 85.0.4183.102 (Official Build) (64-bit), on all machines involved. Thanks, zz03
