Chrome freezes while watching Youtube/Twitch

Hey all,

recently (2 weeks ago) my chrome started behaving very weird. While watching Youtube and skipping throughtout videos it freezes and I have to force stop Chrome. Sometimes I notice like imprerfections in the video such as black areas as if the picture is not fully displayed. I tried reinstalling - nothing. Tried updating Adobe Flash Player - nothing. It really pisses me off. I tried Firefox and it works just fine. But I don't want to be using Firefox I want to get back to Chrome. Any solutions to this matter?

J.

Youtube generally uses html 5 unless you are using an extension to make it behave differently. So if you are still having this issue, you might want to start by right-clicking the video and confirm what it is using.

At this point neither site should still be using Flash. Pretty sure Twitch has switched over to the HTML5 player at this point. If not then you can also set Flash as "Ask to activate" and that should force Twitch to use HTML5.
