Interesting. I imagine for the next major OS Chrome will be the default browser.

I hope this means we can look forward to mobile Chrome extentions. Adblock (without having to root)!

It looks like ICS is required. It won't let me install on either my SGS2 or my Asus Transformer.

just tried it. tab syncing is awesome!

Yes it really is. :D

I like how the accelerometer is used on the tabs list. You can tilt the phone to expand or contract the list of tabs (can be disabled).

Wow, it's faster than the stock ICS browser, and that was pretty fast itself!

I always assumed that the Android browser shared a similar source base as Chrome, much like IE and mobile IE. I suppose not? A little odd that Google is supporting two browsers for their platform. Maybe in the next version, Chrome will be a part of the "Google Apps" package on "official" devices, and the default browser will be for AOSP projects like the Fire?

Oh my, you can switch tabs very quickly by just swiping from the right or left.

This is awesome.

How does this work? In full view, nothing happens when I swipe left or right. The only trick I can do is in tab view where tilting it will change the zoom of the stack.

Have multiple tabs open (of course)

While viewing one tab, swipe from the edge of the screen to either the right or left. If you're on the "end" tab, you should see the window become like a card. Swiping the other way should switch you to the next tab.

Yes, tab switching is awesome. Overall, the browser is super fast. Can't wait to put it on my touchpad when I get home.

Just installed it. First impression? Sucker is fast. Scrolling and pinch to zoom is fast and fluid. I didn't really have complaint with the stock ICS browser since Google improved that so much. Tab swiping is very cool. I'm glad swiping stuff from WebOS is getting incorporated into ICS. Spelling and auto correct work on this unlike the stock browser. I'm really surprised Google has yet to fix that bug on the stock browser.

Same here. I think it's going to be awesome on the Touchpad. Can't wait to go home to try it.

I dont understand why this wasnt stock for ICS... Why do they have two mobile browsers? Seems they are wasting a lot of time? I bet they have their reasons but still

I tried it, its cool

Seeing as how they only just now released the beta, it wouldn't have made sense to hold up the Nexus/ICS launch just because of the browser. I think it's pretty obvious Chrome will become the stock browser going forward.

I wonder if this is taking advantage of dual cores or more advanced GPUs, because on my Vibrant, the stock ICS browser feels snappier than this. Also, its clearly styled to look like the Chrome desktop browser, not like Android, which seems to go against the unification process they went through in ICS. Will be interesting to watch, anyway. It has some neat features.

They're apparently starting on phasing out the stock browser in AOSP and adding chrome to the Android Experience package.

Wow, duh, that's so obvious, not sure why I couldn't get it working at first. Thank you sir.

looking for a browser to actually take the lead. Dolphin Browser and Opera Mobile have been unimpressive so far. I will try this on the GNex since it's in the Google family.

Yep, ICS only, making me wish more and more that I jumped on a used Nexus last week. :(

Hopefully it's only one or two more weeks until we get to play with this on our Transformers, though!

I hope they put that "request desktop site" thing from the ICS browser in there.

This is going to rock on the Transformer when it gets ICS soon.
