Chrome broken on Win8

Out of the blue today, Google Chrome decided to only launch in metro mode. I tried deleting the registry, but it kept reverting back to metro Chrome when I made it my default browser. So then I uninstalled Chrome, but now I can't even reinstall it. When I go download Chrome, nothing happens.

Any ideas? This is by far the most frustrating thing I've run into since switching to Win8.

Edit: Wow, I'm dumb, there's a menu option to switch between Chrome metro and desktop modes. I guess that's what you get for trying to look up troubleshooting questions through Bing. Now, I just have to figure out how to install Chrome again.
