Chrome App Launcher

Can't figure out how to remove it after installing it (sort of an accident - didn't prompt me like I thought it would and then it was there). Don't really see the benefit for one. Second, I'm not entirely sure if it's the best idea to have Google's eyes on me while offline and on my desktop.

It's not in add/remove (even through ccleaner) like the documentation indicates. System Restore my only hope?

ok answering my own post here after a couple more days of scratching my head:

I don't think there's an actual "app" to uninstall for the Chrome App Launcher because if you go to properties of the shortcut, it just points to chrome.exe. It seems to use a flag to popup the list of apps. Here's what it looks like for the target:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --show-app-list
Notice the flag at the end for show app list. So from what I gather, if you don't want it there, just remove the desktop shortcut entirely and you're fine.

Would explain why it "installed" so quickly to begin with... all it did was add this shortcut to my quick launch.
