Chrome and Firefox not displaying preview picture correctly

For the last 2 weeks both chrome and firefox had display preview picture problem on all websites. On Firefox some preview pictures only display half way and the other half is grey. On chrome some pictures display 8 bit like color and the other half is grey. Sometime it only display a white square box.

I've uninstall and reinstall both browsers, disabled all extensions, scan for viruses/spywares (come up clean) updates graphic card drivers but the problem still persist. I've even switch out different graphic card but the problem still there.

Please help. I'm at the end of my wit.

do you experience the same issue with internet explorer?

I'm using Windows 7 64 bit with 8 GB of ram. Internet explorer works just fine.

It happen to all website but more on youtube and facebook.

in firefox try turning off hardware acceleration if it's on. not sure bout chrome. has to be some settings in those browsers since IE works fine.

First thing i'd try is to update video drivers.

I turned off hardware acceleration,clear out history/cache and exit firefox. I restart firefox and the problem is still the same. Some images still display half load and half grey box and some still white box.

I want to thanks everyone for trying to help me solve this issue. I decided to restore the OS since it had been 3 years since I got the computer. So again thank you
