Christopher Reeve is an asshole

I suppose Michael J. Fox is just as much of a asshole for creating the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.

That guy is such a coarse, shameless rat. But don't tell me some of those nasty thoughts have never crossed your mind. Not many people have the balls or the the stupidity to let people know what they really think.
 
Ok, I'll get flamed. I have heard Reeves, and I think this guy is right at least as far as his intent goes. If he were well, and someone crawled up to him I think he would kick him rather than give him the time of day. Is Reeves desperate? Hell yes, and I don't blame him, but Reeves is no philanthropist. Fox on the other hand had a residence in VT when I lived right across the river in NH, before his troubles. He had a reputation of helping a great many people locally without taking credit. Seems he was glad to share his good fortune.
 
It's just human nature not to care to much about cripples, burn patients or mental patients until you become one. Most people are scared to think about there lives that way.
 
Reeve is pretty damn low on my list of 'people I like'. I beleive he IS selfish.

Um, you can't call Reeves selfish. I don't think there's a damn person who gives a rats ass about parapalegics before they get paralyzed. How many people can you name that care about them anyway?

Why though?

I don't really understand how someone can be selfish just because of the things that person's thoughts point out.
