I recently got my computer this years August and after getting it Im still thriving for more performance
AMD 64 3500+ @ 2.6 GHZ
7800 GTX @ 490/1360
Seagate 7200.7 160 GB
OCZ Premiere 1 GB Kit
SoundBlaster Live! 5.1
*EDIT*HeadPhones Koss UR-15C

I was just wondering on which upgrades would be worth getting. I have quiet a few in mind

SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 ----> SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Music

Getting another HD and run RAID(I have no clue about what types of RAID forms there are)
or
Getting a Western Digital 10K 36 or 74 GB HD

Labtec® Spin? 75 http://www.labtec.com/lang/images/0/242.jpg -----> Logitech Z-2300

Adding another gig of RAM

Maybe(big maybe) SamSung SyncMaster 793MB(CRT)----->SamSung LCD DOnt know any good model(19In)

Thanks for the advice
Other suggestions on upgrades is welcome.

your rig is similar ro mine

anyway, i dont think 2gb is called for if you dont play battlefield

the x-fi would certainly be nice. i prolly would go with a nice big LCD though

IMO...

I'd say, get some hd-280's, and get a nice headphone amp to go along with it...

But from your choices, I'd say... add another gig of ram.

Edit Messaged (Added HeadPhones)

Ya Im really leaning towards getting the X-Fi. I dont like some of the sounds that the card is producing, but again that might be because of the crappy speakers. Also leaning towards the Logitech SPeakers. Heard lots of good things about them(mostly the 5500) but Im sure the 2300 are just as good - 5.1 and 80 watts. What you mean by the HD-280s? Model type of HeadPhones? THe but long funny word that starts with a S? Ah ha Sennheiser. They lok pretty similar to the ones I got but is there a good Difference between them. I recenlty bought these headphones because my other ones broke(right speaker broke)(they were the same ones)

2GB of ram wouldn't be feasible or worth the hassle, because I'd assume by '1GB kit' you have two 512MB modules. To get the most benefit (and not lose performance) you'd have to buy a 2x1GB kit, and sell off/or whatever with your current RAM.

I have a Samsung 930b 19 inch and i love it.

I'll be getting the X-Fi plat soon. I currently have the Audigy 2. But i want the X-Fi to go with my Sennheiser HD-280's for even better sound.
