Christmas Upgrade

I have the following system

Athlon XP Mobile 2500+ @ 2.4Ghz
1024 MB PC3200 DDR
Asus A7N8X Rev. 2.0
Radeon 9600 Pro
WD 1200JB 120Gb HDD 7,200 8MB

I am thinking about upgrading my graphics card this christmas to a 6800GT AGP, but I was wondering if anyone had any better suggestions? My computer is moderately fast as is, but my 3 year old value card is really weighing me down. Thanks alot,

Petes

If you have the money to upgrade your whole system, then switch to a A64/pci-e combo, that will give you more/better video card options, and better performance from the cpu. If you only want a new video card, a 6800gt would be a nice upgrade, if you can find one in stock for AGP. (maybe buy a used one for less?)

X850XTPE for $250 (after mail in repbate) is a great deal on one of the fastest AGP cards still available.

I second that choice since the X850XTPE is faster than the 6800GT in about 90% of games (the other ten percent being OpenGL games). However, make sure your PSU is powerful enough to run either card since they do need extra power.
