Is Odin the dude that put Money in Peoples shoes? If so, I'll convert from FSM to that Religion in a heartbeat! Beats Shopping!! Umm, what kinda weird things would I have to do though. I've always hated that so many songs having nothing to do with Christmas always get associated with Christmas.

Jesus is nothing more than an anthropomorphism of the sun. The sun "dies" during the winter solstice, is "dead" for 3 days, and is then re"born" (usually on Dec. 25th).

Uh, that (death and rebirth) is easter... but yea Christian Holidays are just convenient inventions overlapping other religions holidays to try to make others celebrate in the name of Christ.

This is still the reason for Christmas. Yes, the "resurrection" is celebrated in the spring (with bunnies, chocolate, and eggs ), but the sun is still "born" on Dec 25th.

I just heard that a few minutes ago while I was flipping channels. We have a local advertising channel that plays oldies music while showing a slide show of local ads and which, as of a couple of weeks ago, has been playing christmas music.
