Well I still have two gifts...but our family in Japan is taken care of.

Now just to box it up and pay the $200 or so in postage.

If anyone is looking for Planet Earth (Attenborough) on bluray, it's only $39.99 shipped at Buy.

Just a suggestion---why didn't you buy online at Japanese stores, have then wrap it, and then ship directly :D You could save $200!

Meh, since my family lives in the midwest and I live in the southwest, I just send gift cards. They all fit in a single envelope with a standard stamp. :)

I know what I'm getting for just about everyone.

I really, really, really don't want to do holiday baking this year, but I can't think of anything else to give my cousins, so I'll probably suck it up.

Any problems with region codes on the DVDs and getting them to play in other regions? (I'm no expert on that, except to know that it exists.)

So the Japanese celebrate a Christian holiday?

There are plenty of non-christians who do. Myself included. Its a nice way to brighten up a bleak time of year. Its alsona good excuse to get people together.

We haven't started shopping yet. We're not buying a lot of stuff though. I'm really hoping nobody comes up this year since we usually host it. Things get too hectic. I'd love to just go on holiday somewhere. I haven't really been anywhere since 2003.

So the Japanese celebrate a Christian holiday?

My wife is like me...we really aren't sure and neither of us agree that most of Christianity or any other religions had 'righteousness' at it's heart. It's a paradox in it's essence.

My wife has only been here about 10 years of her nearly 50 year life. Many Japanese celebrate Christmas from a family/gift-giving aspect.

We have two teens+, 4 boys (baby,2,5,8)...they like our toys each year and they somehow become their favorites even when we have some doubts if they'd like them or not.

However, many times they swap the gifts later on. We picked up this little baby toy that was a funny creature that makes silly sounds for the 4 year old a few years ago...he didn't like it, but the 2 year old now never parts with it and wanted it since a baby.

Have not started. I wait till last minute literally the 24th. Then wrap till 2-3 am on 25th and sneek presents under the like Santa. My wife OTOH started in January and is still at it. So if I drop dead tomorrow they'll still get something.

what was wrong with the link, it just worked for me

it's already been posted, but your links under your post mostly don't work...it's outdated...

The McRib is a bit tasty, but not what I want to really go for. I think it McSux.
