I did all my shopping for my family, my in-laws, and the few coworkers (and boss) that'll be getting anything, all for within my budget, and wrapped/packed/shipped it all off today. From start to finish about 4 1/2 hours of time.

Only person I couldn't find anything for was my younger brother, I figured that there's nothing I could give him that the Navy won't be providing to him anyways (or let him take with him), so I sent him a gift card to go out to the movies while he's home on leave.

Who else has finished all their Christmas work, or who still has mounds and mounds of presents to buy and/or wrap? You poor bastards.

if you are on a budget, go to Good Will. get your wrapping paper at the dollar store, or use newspaper to wrap the presents with.

otherwise, give xmas cards out!

I thought the 24th was the only day we're allowed to shop for Xmas?

You're not allowed to be in my thread. Especially since I said "Christmas", and you said "xmas" in the lazy and obviously ignorant way that you're used to. Shoo.

I'm allowed to bend the rules, I work nights (sometimes 6 days a week) so I sleep most of the day away. By the time I wake up the PO/UPS stores are closed, can't ship anything like that. I made an exception today and stayed up a lot later into the day than I normally would.

Nah, that's just when we tell everybody we do it. The smart ones do their shopping on the 24th, for the next five years.

Ha ha. I was thinking the same thing. I signed up for Amazon prime so I am solid. I refuse to go shopping in any retail stores anymore. Online is just so much more convenient and cheaper.

I've bought almost nothing, just a couple sweaters for my daughter. Going to start tomorrow. I usually have most things bought and wrapped by the first part of December, but this year I just can't get up the enthusiasm for it.

My gf is out of the country for X-Mas, so I had most of her shopping done before hand to give her the presents before she left. Picked up some jewelry and going to upgrade her comp to surprise her when she gets back on Jan. 2. Lots o tang for me that night :D
