Watchin' the intro to SNL this weekend, I realized how pathetic this whole "Christmas" thing is getting. (Even the Jews are laughin' at how liberal this whole mess is gettin'. And, no, this isn't to demean/interfere w/ Hannakuh, it's about whether Christmas is still Christmas)............

#1.) It's Christmas folks!! "Christ" + "Mas" (Yes, baby Jesus' birthday)

#2.) PC on Christmas?? You've got to be fvckin' kidding me, right??

With all the CHRISTMAS carols out there, we've been singing the same for xxx years, do we really need to appease the freakin' Muslim, Aetheists, Agnostics, etc. so much that we have to change the freakin' words??????????????????

Bill O'Reilly had a pole recently that ended up in the 90percentile for wanting Christmas to STAY Christmas. Given that there probably aren't a whole lotta' 20 somethin' liberals watchin' Bill O'Reilly, I wanted to see what ATOT could muster up in its own poll.
 
Christmas is a Catholic/Christian/Whatever holiday. You can't pull the religion out of a religious holiday. If it's not about Jesus's birthday, what are we celebrating on the 25th? According to them, it's just an empty holiday. I personally don't believe in God or Jesus, but I certainly don't agree with the ****** these people are trying to pull. Merry ****** Christmas.

Definatly. It won't be long before someone starts changing the lyrics of Deck The Halls from "Don we now our gay apparel" to something like "Don our holiday apparel".

Mark my words - it WILL happen.
 
So what about Easter? Do we now have the oliday Bunny that hides your Holiday Baskets which have lots of colorful Holiday Eggs?

It's jsut a Holiday. Christmas is NOT celebrated only by Christians. It's celebrated by millions of people all over the world. If it was called a Jesus's Birthday Tree or a Birth of Christ Tree, then sure, call it Holiday as that's religious. But Christmas is a Federal Holiday. The Tree is used to celebrate the holday. Therefore it's a Christmas Tree. Get over it.
 
It won't be a problem once Jesus comes back in The Rapture and kills all of the Jews.

OK, kinda' glad to see how folks feel on the matter. Perhaps the younger more liberal movement will show up here after school's out?? 😉

Anyway............I just find it bizarre that there seems to be a movement to get rid of Christmas all around when apparently it's such a minority. I guess it goes w/ "The squeaky wheel gets the oil" thing.

As a guy who used to like to collect slabbed coins, I recall being intrigued by the "No Motto" (where 'In God We Trust' was removed for a time. It came back because it didn't fly w/ the people of the day.) St. Gaudens gold coins. I wonder how much longer it'll be 'til the public makes a move for that again.......(like getting God out of everything else in this country)..........and wonder if it'll stay the next time it happens.

My pastor regularly says on Sundays......(he's a fairly hip, contemporary 40 something guy)......"Ask God to get out of your country.......and He will! But put me on the next plane outta' here when He does!" Kinda' makes ya' grimmace!

people have been celebrating the winter solstice forever, same with Easter and the spring equinox.

No other religious group really wants to celebrate Christmas, they just do it cause the majority of their neighbors do.

If you were living in an Islamic country and were a Christian would you celebrate Eid-al-Fitr?

Personally I could give a rats ass about Christmas, its pretty much become a corporate holiday and its not like most people follow poor old Jesus's teachings anyways.
 
Is it so offensive to use "holiday," to express tolerance for the varying beliefs we have in our cultural melting pot? I'm not one to be a zealot in favor of removing the religious aspects, but I certainly won't mourn the loss. Wouldn't it be more in the spirit of Christ's teachings to just get together and celebrate love for our fellow man rather than pissing and moaning about little things? Can't you celebrate the birth of your lord just fine without seeing giant displays everywhere that really just serve to cheapen the whole affair?

yea it is all liberals :roll: mind you on O'Reillys own site he was selling "holiday" mugs and others items. L.Bush says "Happy Holidays" at the end of several of her talks etc... but yea its those liberals

Ala is not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!!! Neither is Buddha, Joseph Smith or the hundreds of others who *aren't* found in the Gideon's Bible in the top drawer of every hotel around the United States!!

I ain't tryin' to push Chrsitianity on anyone, just tryin' to defend......(and have more of a backbone than in the case of the current administration).........what's already been established for quite some time now.
