Seems to be a lot of ATOT'ers getting dumped lately.

Could it be the season?
Maybe the gf was just milking the relationship for a good Xmas gift.
Too much time together over the holidays?
Or maybe we got exposed as cheap.

I've always referred to Christmas, Valentine's and birthdays as relationship testers. It's easier to fake being close to someone on a normal day. But on those days when you're supposed to be especially close and do something really special for the other person, it's harder to fake when your heart's not in it.

I think that's the bottom line. My gf and I have been on the outs for a couple months now and just called it official a week or so ago. We've been in a, relatively, long distance relationship for almost 2 years now as we're both at different colleges. We care a great deal for each other but realize that it just isn't working for either of us, we knew there was no point in pretending everything was ok over the holidays only to breakup right afterward. At least its a pretty mutual thing which makes it a lot easier to handle. My heart goes out to all the YAGT posts that aren't as easy.

It's funny, because I always get dumped right before summer. it's almost as if girls want to get into their swimsuits and hit on guys.
