No photos, but we installed Govee permanent outdoor lights. They fuck -- the kids have really enjoyed messing with the various presets. We'll be set for every holiday and will just need to swap out inflatables/standalone decor.

I almost bought some of the version 2 150' lights on cyber-monday but they were still $299 for that length. Probably should've still pulled the trigger on them because they're back to $449 IIRC. But 100' is too short for my roof line and I'm not experienced enough to string multiple lines together of the ones that can be done.

We have a 'rewards' system at work where you can redeem points for merchandise, gift cards, etc. I ended up using points to have for the kit (I think it was on...some sale? It was like $299 at best buy for the 100ft elite kit). We just ran the 100ft across the front phase of the house, and miraculously it lined up perfectly to where a lot of the preset color changes start at the peak of the house.

I was going to install myself, but the highest point on our roofline, even on a one story, was 40ft -- I wasn't about to get my big ass up on a ladder that high lol.

I almost bought a 150 foot set from Costco for the fence you see at the top of the video. Just never pulled the trigger. I also thought about them for the house. A couple years ago I bought some light changing LED lights for the fixtures in the front, so I could change the color for each holiday. The problem is not only are they crappy, but when they are orange lights, then there is very little illumination for the yard. I might get some next year if Costco has them again.

Hank, I LOVE that Steelers Santa. 😍😍

So far, I have a few strings of the color changing C9 lights up and a “sparkling” chingadera for the topper on my flagpole. (My wife is too cheap to let me drop the $$ for the flagpole christmas light kit)
I had a couple of things cancel today, so I MIGHT get out and put up a few more strings of lights…or not. We’ll see.

Not too bad. I got within a decade. My hobby is trying to date houses. I especially like older places. Newer houses are boring.

Definitely the right era and style.

I like it. I've had to work on it a lot - it was a rental property for about twenty years, so everything was a little ratted out - but it's got good bones.

We are in an old two story (1967) on a hill overlooking the neighbors out in the country so we put up lights for ourselves mostly. For reference the wreath is 4 feet across and it still looks small, but it has 400 lights and looks cool. I will not ever do inflatables or plastic molded stuff, ever, no offense. The peak is about 26 feet at the top and the electric is about a foot from the roof line so I don't ever hang anything up there. You can barely see the detached garage which also has lights on two sides.
